We always enjoy your adventures. This one was great as these mountains were my happy place growing up. My dad brought every visitor we had up to see the big trees! My aunt has a cabin at Hume and we have spent many weeks up there summer. We even renewed our vows for our 35th up there. You were lucky to be there early. They have a very large camp that fills up most weeks through the summer.very noisy. Enjoy Yosemite, that is another of my favorites. We moved to the PNW 45 years ago, but still visit my 92 year old mom every year. In fact she is at Hume now for the summer. Have fun, enjoy life!

Not sure what day you were at the confluence. My husband and I were on a 14 rafting trip and we stopped there on May 28th. I was very excited to see the AZRA boats and zoomed in to see if it could have been us but it wasn’t. A river trip is a must (but it’s pricey). This was our 4th trip and obviously we love it! Glad you had such a wonderful time!

Just out of curiosity, what day of the week did you go in May? I am a huge fan of using the off-season and days other than weekends to go to parks. I don’t mind that I can’t do everything because it’s worth it to not have the big crowds. If you get the time, also stop by Calaveras big trees state park in Arnold. It is off the four and is a nice little park with more big sequoias. It’s one of my most favorite places in the world to go. I live in Modesto here in the central Valley and am still exploring all the parks near and far so I’m really excited to see that you were in my neck of the woods so I know what to do once I get there. Thank you for your videos.

Awesome coverage guys I am from Central Newfoundland and have a motorhome and do lots of travelling around our island, unfortunately my hiking days to some of those higher mountains is finished, but you have taken me back to so many places I visited when we were younger, I’m amazed at how many Boondocking spots you have found on your travels.

Where did you guys launch and how long did it take you get to devils island?

We went in early June and took the boat tour to the glaciers from Seward and saw Humpback Whales it was amazing seeing their tails coming out of the water. Exit Glacier was a great hike too.

I enjoy visiting national parks in their shoulder seasons before they're so crowded. True, there might be some things you can't do because roads aren't open yet but having trails and views to yourself is pretty awesome. And like you said, you get to do some things you might not otherwise.

When did you visit the parks? It's not crowded at all

We JUST were there in May! We did Congress, Tokopah, Moro Rock… etc so it was so nice to relive it again in this vid

Lived here for about 15 years. Been crazy how much it's grown. Very progressive city for the state we are in. Very underrated and most people are surprised

I lived in Vernon, New Jersey for more than 50 years. The Stairway to Heaven is in that town. The black snake that you saw is a "black snake". It is harmless to humans and is considered beneficial. It likes to eat small rodents. It is not aggressive. The black bear that you saw could be a problem if it was a female and had cubs with her. Keep your distance!

I was just in both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, just a week ago. I was able to get to Roads End with my girlfriend. We did Roaring Creek Falls and Zumwalt Meadow. We also did the Boyden Cavern tour on the way out of the canyon. In Sequoia National Park we did Little Baldy Trail in contrast to Big Baldy. I did Moro Rock, but we skipped Tokopah Falls on this trip. We still had a great time, and I enjoyed watching this video. It brought back great memories!! Greetings from Washington state!! :)

A quick FYI: If you're ever in a situation like that or worse, disconnect the positive (red) terminal of the battery for an hour or so. Sometimes the ECU throw a code, especially if it's been used roughly and that can reset it.
